92% 5+ A* - C GRADES ACHIEVED

TOP 10% OF SCHOOLS IN THE COUNTRY FOR IMPROVING ACHIEVEMENT AT 5 A*-C INCLUDING ENGLISH AND MATHEMATICS

 Message from the Headteacher

The International school continues to improve at a pace. We are extremely proud of our students’ achievements. More of our students are gaining good academic results and are making a significant contribution to establishing The International School as an outstanding school.

Year 11 students are on track to attain the best ever GCSE results at over 50% 5 A* to C including English and Maths. Attendance is the best ever at 94.26%, and there are many positive community developments taking place.

The Specialist Schools and Academies Trust have recognised our achievements by placing our school in the top 10% in the country for improving pupil achievement.

We have a very happy and progressive school where pupils are the focus of everything we do and they have responded by taking on more responsibility for their conduct and learning.

As you may be aware, from the recent publicity, I have had to make some difficult and unpleasant decisions such as, managing staff redundancies and temporarily suspending courses in the 6th Form, in order to secure the future of the school.

Although we are facing significant challenges the actions that I and my team have taken will ensure the continued progress of our school and provide a solid base for future success.

Our school is and will be in a much stronger position.

We are looking forward to our Year 11 GCSE results and we are confident that we will see another substantial improvement in achievement. Our focus has not wavered and we are on course to become an outstanding school.

The International School looks forward to continued success and a bright future.

Thank you for your continued support.
